Stone Arch Bridge Drawing Inspired

My boyfriend drew me a picture for Christmas of a place we have spent a lot of time together. We would take walks before we started dating through downtown Minneapolis and across the Stone Arch. It was a joke at my college because so many couples went there. So to them, its a bit cliche. But its special to us.. Not to mention a beautiful place in the city. This charcoal picture inspired this look of black and pink.

A memory can be made at any point. Don’t let your insecurities keep you from experiencing life. Living a life of experiences will bring out your true beauty.

Sunset Inspired

Sunsets are one of my most favorite things. It brings me so much joy. So, here is a look inspired by that. Sorry for getting out of view so many times, I’m still getting the hang of this. Also, sorry for my eyebrows, they desperately need to be waxed, haha.

Catepillar eyebrows, freshly shaped brows, perfect or flawless skin, YOU are so perfect regardless. Never forget how much perfection lies within your imperfections.

Wet n’ Wild H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner

So I bought this eyeliner because it was cheap- and that’s the sole reason. And I was looking to get a new liquid eyeliner. Sometimes, I feel like when I get liquid eyeliner it smears really easily so I bought a waterproof product. 

When I got home I swatched it on my hand and was SO impressed with the waterproof ability. 

When I finally applied it, the liquid would hit my eyelashes which caused them to get incredibly clumpy when I put my mascara on. It is also really hard to wipe this off without ruining the rest of your makeup application. (If anyone has any suggestions to help with this, I would love to hear them).

As far as being waterproof- it depends to what extent you want it to be waterproof. Today, I wore it while playing Ultimate Frisbee in the pouring rain with my friends and it stayed on perfectly and I was shocked!! But, when I wore it while on our boat the other day, it smeared all over and then was super difficult to wipe off, So I don’t recommend wearing it to a pool :)

You hold so much more beauty within you than you know. Don’t allow the standards of the world to make you forget that. Let your beauty shine past the outer walls you begin to build. Maybe a bit of that beauty will slowly help those come down.

ALMAY TLC (Truly Lasting Color)

Previously, for foundation, I had been wearingLoreal Visible Lift. Its a foundation made to cover up wrinkles, I think. I don’t have the best skin so I like a product with good coverage. I’ve worn this for years, but I’ve always had the same problem. By the end of the day my skin is super oily so my makeup feels caked on. And, on top of that, I’m pretty sure if I touch my face at all it smears. I had heard that Urban Decay’s De-slick in a tube helped with that, so I bought a tube. Now I was taking a chance, since I don’t like spending a lot of money and this index-sized tube is $28. I would say- worth it, and a little bit goes a long way. But with my Loreal foundation, it only helped a bit, it didn’t solve my problem.

So I decided to try a new foundation. I had NO idea what to do so I walked around the drug store and read the different descriptions. I found this product and figured I’d give it a try. I said a prayer and hoped it would be worth the money that I spent. I think I spend $10-12, which isn’t bad.

I first tried this product with the de-slick, and I couldn’t have been more happy. My makeup lasted all day and felt great. The following day I tried it without the extra product and was still impressed. I felt more comfortable with the de-slick under my foundation because without it i had a bit of grease by the end of the day.

So overall- I rate 4 stars, because of the slight cake-y feel. With Urban Decay’s de-slick, 5. If you don’t have skin that produces a lot of oil, this product would be great for you on it’s own.
